The Idea

The Solarpunk Guild had came up with the idea to do a 12 hour marathon on Twitter Spaces during the Alpha round to give people a space to share their projects and thoughts about the round and then decided to do it 24/7 in the Beta Round and GG18 with the though of it being Gitcoin’s radio with a group of members coming in as stewards to make sure it kept going for the whole round as well as grantees to host one hour slots to make sure it was exciting and eventful

The Story

During both the Beta round and the GG18 of Gitcoin Radio, I've been deeply engaged as a dedicated Steward, playing a pivotal role in maintaining a lively and inclusive dialogue within the community. During the Beta round, my daily commitment involved contributing three thoughtful hours, extended to four during GG18, to ensure a continuous flow of insightful and inclusive discussions.

In addition to my stewarding responsibilities, I've also embraced the role of Host, dedicating an extra hour each day to facilitate conversations that mattered to our community. This additional hour allowed me to dive deeper into topics that are essential and relevant, fostering a space where ideas could not only be shared but also be transformed into actionable insights.

In the Beta round, the initial phase of this endeavor, my focus was set on creating a welcoming space for dialogue and interaction. I contributed three hours daily to initiating and transitioning spaces and co-hosting discussions, ensuring they were not only relevant but also engaging and reflective of the community’s pulse and needs.

With the onset of GG18, the Solarpunk guild decided up Steward contributions to four hours a day, deepening our involvement and commitment to the community. Each day, I strived to curate and facilitate discussions that were timely and impactful, creating an environment where every voice could be heard and every opinion valued. These discussions were designed to not only address the current needs and challenges faced by the community but also to explore potential opportunities and future directions.

Beyond stewarding, my additional hour as a Host was not just about leading the conversation but also about listening and responding to the community's insights and feedback. This dual role allowed me to be both a guide and a participant in these crucial conversations, helping to shape and define the narrative while also being open to learning and adapting to the dynamic needs and contributions of the community.

Through meticulous planning and active participation, both as a Steward and Host, I ensured that each session was productive and enlightening, making Gitcoin Radio a crucial platform for sharing, learning, and collaborating within the community. My dedication and contribution have been focused on fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose, helping to steer the community towards collective success and impact. With a blend of initiating, transitioning, co-hosting, and hosting, I worked to turn each space into a vibrant hub of knowledge and collaboration, illuminating the path towards shared understanding and cooperative action.
